Preserving freshness with premium design

We created a sophisticated coffee packaging system for Ghajar Cafe, owned by Mr. Amini, that protects the quality of their specialty coffee while creating a premium shelf presence. The packaging design features a stand-up pouch format with a resealable zipper and one-way degassing valve to maintain coffee freshness by releasing CO2 while preventing oxygen from entering. We developed a visual identity that tells the story of Ghajar's coffee sourcing, roasting process, and flavor profiles through elegant illustrations and typography. The design includes a color-coding system that helps customers quickly identify different roast levels and origins, from light Ethiopian blends to dark Italian roasts. Each package features detailed tasting notes, brewing recommendations, and origin information that educates customers and enhances their coffee experience. We selected matte-finish materials with spot UV accents on the logo and key design elements, creating a tactile experience that feels premium in hand. The back panel includes a transparency window showing the coffee beans inside, building trust and allowing customers to see the product quality before purchase.

Visual and typograpy hierarchy

Visual hierarchy is the principle of arranging elements to show their order of importance. Designers structure visual characteristics—e.g., menu icons—so users can understand information easily. By laying out elements logically and strategically, designers influence users’ perceptions and guide them to desired actions. Users notice larger elements more easily can convert.
